Introduction
Chapter 1 The men in black
On May 16, 2015, Jerry and I walked into the hospital room of my brother. We were there to wish him a happy birthday. He had been in the hospital for a long time and the whole family wanted to make this one of the best birthdays ever that we could. We didn’t know how much longer we were going to have Tom with us.
Jerry and I sat in his room for a long time letting him sleep. We knew that it had been a long day for him and we didn’t want to make it worse on him. I gently touched him on his shoulder and called out his name because if you ever disturbed him he would react. His military training in the U.S. Army and beinou reflexed an outward thrust fist at anyone or anything awakening him I let him know that we were there but we weren’t going to stay long.
After he was awake he told us this story. He said that just about ten minutes before we got there he had two men visit him. He said that they were from the CIA and that they wanted to talk to him about something that he did a long time ago.
He began to tell us that about twenty years ago he had been overseas and that he had a job to do for the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States of America. He had to get back to the US with this chip but there were some really bad men after him and he had to hide the chip and he thought he could come back later for it. So he found a place where he could hide it and make some mud and put the chip in it and stay there until the mud was dry and then he made his way back to town . Where he was, he was met by some men from the CIA and they sent him back to the us. But he wouldn’t tell them where he had hidden the chip. He said that he didn’t know who he could trust and he didn’t know those men.
Soon after that he got out of the army and came back to Kentucky he said that he had not thought about that chip in years until that day when the two men in black came to see him. He was leaving Tom’s floors. Maybe the younger one got separated from the older one.
Tom said that the older man did all the talking and he told Tom that he needed to get well and to get his new leg so he could come to Washington D.C. That they had found the chip and they needed him to read it that he was the only one that could do it.
Tom told me that he told the man this.
“I’m sorry sir but I’m not going to be on this earth much longer and I can’t do this for you. You will have to find someone that can do it.”
With that Tom said that he rolled over the best that he could and went to sleep. The next thing he knew, I was waking him up to tell him Happy Birthday. I just didn’t know that it would be the last time I told my big and only brother that this was his last happy birthday. He passed away on December 2, 2015. I miss him today and I will miss him more tomorrow. He was always there for me. I don’t care if he was five hundred miles away I knew that all I had to do was call him and he would be there for me. I wish he was here with us right now. He would think me writing this was funny, I love you Tom and I always will miss you. DEBBIE.

I am having trouble getting all my thoughts together. Deciding how to begin this story, when I asked Debbie, Tom’s younger sister of three, to send me her memory back in 2016 after I moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida.
She told me a sheriff came looking for me after I had moved. Said while I was with Ginger my daughter, who at the time was a patient at Moffitt Cancer Hospital, in Tampa, Florida. I asked her to remember as many details as she could. She said he was a dark man and thought he was a sheriff.
This story has a long back story to tell. However, I will begin this story with lots of questions unanswered. I was told by my husband, Thomas Ray Morris, now deceased, that he did work not only in uniform as a Staff Sergeant for the Department of Army , S-2 Division, Fort Hood, Texas for General Crosby Saint, but that he was also in and out of country for the Central Intelligence Agency in the European Theater.
I am assuming that these men were those whom I had asked the Director of a hospital in Evansville, Indiana to contact for Tom. I thought the CIA should know that he was on his death bed and maybe they could offer him another position in Washington, D.C.
